Most of the theme shows a sidebar in a fixed location for every page and post. But sometimes you may need a different sidebar for different pages and posts. Using a different sidebar will enable you to try out a different look for your site. And the best part is, it’s not so hard to do it.
Today, in this article we will talk about how to add a different sidebar on different posts and pages of your choice. So, let’s get started!
Why should you use a different sidebar?
It makes no difference what type of website you own, the content you display will certainly differ from page to page. For instance, your site’s ‘About Us’ page will surely have its own unique structure and will most likely offer different types of information compared to your home, blog, products, content us or categories pages.
Theme’s default navigation bar at the top of your website will work fine in many cases but a custom sidebar can be the better choice. By adding this, you can personalize your sidebar to better fit the needs and interests of your users and it makes your pages more user-friendly, functional, and relatable.
Using different sidebars allows you to offer your readers a better experience by making it easy for them to find the content they required. For example, if you have a news website, that covers national news, international news, entertainment news, sports news etc. If you use different sidebars for all of those individual news section pages, you could show a focused sidebar on all of the individual section’s content.
